Almost all of my work is done on the wheel; I just love the act of throwing and the symmetry it creates. I've worked with earthenware, stoneware and porcelain, but right now I'm using earthenware (Cone 04). It allows me achieve the great, bright colors. An average of 4 coats of underglaze is needed in order to get nice, opaque coverage. The pieces are then fired with a clear glaze.

The series with the decals involves a third firing (Cone 012) to permanently fuse the decal to the work. Lucky for me, I have a graphic designer in the family to help me realize my visions for the decals, which are then sent to a custom printing house. This process allows me to get closer to the total perfection I desire for each work of art I create.
