For the free spirits, the wanderers, the wild ones, and the wild at heart.
In January of 2009, after graduating college, I started LuAnne Vintage with the help of my sister Cassie, as a way to help our grandfather get rid of this massive collection he & my grandmother had accumulated over the years.
The name LuAnne Vintage is very meaningful to me. My middle name is LuAnne, which is a mix of my grandfather's first name, Lew, and my grandmother's middle name, Anne. I was also named after my Aunt, Debi LuAnne Petteys, a woman who wrote beautiful poetry. Debi passed away from cancer at age 25, before I was born.
As LuAnne Vintage has grown, I have learned how to search for new inventory on my own, rummaging through thrift stores, flea markets, and garage sales. I have also started making items by hand and upcycling vintage items. Everyday in my work, I am reminded of my grandmother's legacy and how I am still carrying out her dream.
