Mad City Soap specializes in gourmet scrubs, handmade soap, dry oil body sprays, and body butters made fresh and customized for you.

US shipping is free on all orders of $75 or more. (Shipping cost will be refunded when your shipping label is printed.)

Melt notice: The whipped sugar scrubs can melt during transit in hot weather. I stop shipping them at the beginning of June to minimize this issue. Thanks for understanding.

Please be aware that scents with spice notes (like pumpkin, etc) can be irritating to people with sensitive skin. Always perform a patch test before slathering your entire body with a product.

Payment

I accept Paypal, Money Orders, and Personal checks. For international orders, I only accept Paypal. Please do not send cash -- I will NOT accept it. Online payment is expected within 3 days of purchase. Orders will be canceled if payment is not received within 3 days. Sales to residents of the state of WI are subject to a 5% state sales tax.

Shipping

I am happy to combine shipping. I will refund excess shipping charges exceeding $1 when your package is shipped via a Paypal refund. Shipping is capped at $9.30 in the US. I ship USPS first class or priority, but if you want another method, just ask! Here is a link to how etsy calculates combined shipping:

Refunds and Exchanges

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on custom products. We recommend purchasing one of our smaller items to test out any scents or products. If we have made a mistake with your order (and it happens), please let us know, and we will make it right.

If you have skin sensitivities or allergies please read the ingredients carefully prior to purchasing. All fragrance oils have the potential to irritate sensitive skin. We will not be held liable for any allergic reaction, skin sensitivity, or irritation caused by the use or misuse of any of our products.

Additional Policies and FAQs

If you are interested in a custom order, make sure to let me know your zip code as well as the items you would like so I can correctly calculate shipping.

All products are made in small batches to ensure freshness. Since my products are all made to order, certain scents may need a little time to fully cure in the products. Many scents need about a week or so to fully blossom so I recommend waiting a few days (I know it is hard!) before judging a scent.
Scents which contain vanilla may discolor products over time. It in no way affects the quality of the product.

For international orders, customers are responsible for any and all customs fees charged upon receipt. Please don't ask me to change the value of items or mark them as a gift to avoid customs charges.

As with all personal care products, a patch test is recommended whenever using a new product or new scent. Our products are intended for external use only so please don't try to eat them or leave them out so your pets (or small children) will be tempted. If you experience ANY skin irritation or redness when using our products, discontinue use immediately.
