I am interested in the innocence of nature. My paintings are meant to be encouraging and optimistic in the same way nature is. I want to interpret plants in a way we recognize but in a way we don"t always notice by the use of silhouettes. The details of the shapes are elegant and signify the individuality in each plant. I experiment with many different mediums, including fabric and embroidery, to give each new work a sense of life and individuality. I am inspired by antique botanical etchings, nature writing such as John Muir and just being outside.
Buying artwork directly from a living artist or artist’s representative rather than a big box store helps support the very important and almost lost profession of being a fine artist. I offer my artwork as 8x10, 11x14 and mini framed prints also. Owning original artwork can be very rewarding. I do my best to always have affordable original artwork available. Check by blog or email me for me information on upcoming affordable artwork.
Thank you for visiting my website and your interest in my artwork. Enjoy nature!
