For hand dyed fibres and support spindles (when I can get hold of the whorls).

I've been known to dye, wool (tops or fleece), silk (brick, caps and hankies) and Soybean tops, all in semi-solid or space dyed colours. The wool tops I use are Falkland Island fleece from Dunnose Head Farm (beautifully soft and bouncy) and a Bluefaced Leicester humbug top, which dyes up into three toning shades.

I have been experimenting just lately with some different fibres and blends of fibre, they have mostly been a big success, so keep your eye on the shop for some slightly more unusual listings! Also I have some alpaca tops on order from UK Alpacas, beautiful fibre and dyes wonderfully so watch out for that in the near future too!

The space-dyed and semi-solid colours are dyed using a fairly random technique, therefore I'm afraid that the colours are not repeatable from one batch to the next (colours dyed in the same batch, although not always identical from one bag to the next, will always work together). If you have a particular project in mind when buying the tops, please buy enough to finish your project in one go!
