First and foremost, I am a wife, mother, and homemaker. I enjoy baking, embroidery, crochet, painting, scrap booking, hiking, traveling, reading a good book, and being with my family. I discovered jewelry making around the time my youngest son was born and have evolved from a beader to a self taught metal smith. I love trying new jewelry making techniques (soldering, stamping, riveting, etc), there is always something new to learn. Much of my handcrafted jewelry is one of a kind as my muse tends to move on quickly. I am inspired by nature and the beauty of natural forms. My style leans toward organic, minimalist, and rustic and I try to avoid too much perfection except where it’s important. I use fire on some of my jewelry - however I love to return to the simplicity of wirework and wirewrapping. I work primarily in sterling silver and copper with some brass and 14k gold fill thrown in now and then. I love working with metals. I enjoy the process of sawing, firing, hammering, filing and stamping. I use gemstones, pearls, lampworked glass beads, and crystals to add color and sparkle.
