Inspired by the shoreline of Canada's east coast, my handwoven scarves echo the undulating ripples in the sand and the gentle ruffles of kelp. Fusing the craftsmanship of weaving with the sensibility of an artist's eye, I strive to create a very soft, lightweight, contemporary textile: a scarf that is a pleasure to wear all year around and keeps me excited during all steps of the weaving process.
Cloth has the compelling ability to convey metaphor and experience through colour, texture and pattern - this lies at the creative center of my weaving practice.
All scarves are handwoven using a combination of wild silk, cotton and sometimes merino wool. All scarves are hand-dyed after being woven to create a rich colour palette, unique to each scarf.
Custom orders are more than welcome - just convo me and we can get the ball rolling!
