I'm thrilled to be a featured artist on the Hands Occupied blog: http://www.handsoccupied.com/2011/12/friday-five-marstinia/
My enamel pieces are created by sifting multiple layers of pigmented vitreous glass powders over copper or silver forms, then firing each piece individually in a kiln at 1500 degrees F (815 C). Each design typically involves 3 to 5 individual firings. More about the enamel process and my techniques is posted on my profile page.
