Celebrating the season of giving, Melisma Wirework presents two new collections whose proceeds will also go towards supporting conservation efforts in Sri Lanka.

The Maharaja Collection is inspired by the jewels of the "Maharaja" exhibit from the Victoria and Albert Museum. "Maharaja" has arrived in Toronto, and Melisma Wirework would like to celebrate the lustrous heritage of these pieces with a collection that brings back the luxury of the age of kings. 10% of all sales from the Maharaja Collection will go towards building a tank for a rare Albino Turtle in The Turtle Hatchery at Kosgoda, Sri Lanka.

The Nilaveli Collection contains necklaces made up of shells and fragments of coral gathered while walking down Nilaveli Beach in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. These unique finds are ornamented in semi-precious gemstones, fresh water pearls and are made with a lot of love. 75% of sales from the Nilaveli Collection will go towards coral conservation on Pigeon Island in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka.

A melisma is a melodic line that ornaments a single syllable of text in Gregorian Chant. Inspired by this concept, Melisma Wirework weaves jewels from around the world in silver, copper and gold wire creating intricate one of a kind pieces for special occasions and everyday wear.

Step into the sensual luxury of bygone times. The pieces in this line are inspired by ancient patterns from the royal courts of Sri Lanka and India. Find ornate wire work designs in gold, silver and copper, embellished with fresh water pearls, gemstones, Swarovksi crystals and vintage beads.

Designer Aparna Halpé brings an eye for detail, and a command of the poetry of color and texture to her wire work. Using traditional and innovative wire work techniques, she creates pieces that nudge your imagination down the most delightful paths.
