Welcome to Mercurial Design's shop on Etsy - where I sell and showcase my folk art for the eccentric eclectic.

You may ask yourself, "why is this folk-art?" Well, I call my work "folk art" because I am completely self-taught and do not use kits or patterns for any of my crafts.

You may also ask yourself, "what's an eclectic eccentric?" I'm an eclectic eccentric, and you probably are too! I like to integrate many different genres of art, cultures, inspirations, eras and traditions into my crafts. I also love working with unique images and materials, many of which may be strange or weird to the average shopper - ergo the "eccentric" aspect of my motto.

I specialize in needlework, knitting and wearable fiber art, multi-media pieces using reclaimed jewelry, decoupaged boxes, jewelry and day of the dead dioramas. However, I am always experimenting with new crafts and materials - so check back with the store every few weeks to check out my latest additions.

I welcome commissions for custom pieces, so if you spot something you like - but want to change the color or size - please let me know.
