Well, hello there! Welcome to Mint Lane. Thank you so much for stopping by. I make bags and totes to add a bit of whimsy to your life. New items are added regularly, so please check back soon!

I have been sewing since 2008. Much of my work is a fusion of past and present: traditional quilting shapes and techniques using modern fabrics and color palettes. I am interested in creating items that are practical and usable but reflect a handmade sensibility. I love recycling materials whenever I can, so some of the fabrics you see here are repurposed from old linens and sheets. Most of the fabric I work with is high-quality 100% cotton, with the exception of recycled linens which are typically cotton/poly blends. All of the items in my shop are used in my daily life, so you are assured a product that has been tested and refined.

Mint Lane is the name of a street in my town that I have always adored. The name conjures up quaint images of smelling fresh grass, enjoying endless summer days, and reading books in a hammock. We live in a hectic, stressful world, and Mint Lane is a refuge for me to escape and enjoy a slower pace of life. I absolutely enjoy sewing all the little goodies you see here, and I hope they bring a bit of whimsy and joy to your life.
