I love TEXTURE! I love COLOR! I love SILVER and I love STONES! The textures, colors and stories of the beads and gemstones I use infuse my work with warmth and history. I have been making jewelry for 10 years with gorgeous and often rare beads I have collected from near and far. Many of my pieces feature my handmade fine silver PMC (Precious Metal Clay) charms and pendants. PMC is practically pure silver (.999 versus Sterling's .925) I hand-form, texture, and oxidize every piece in my cozy Portland, Oregon home studio.
My tastes are eclectic but I tend to obsessively collect and use the following in my work: vintage Czech and German pressed glass, semi-precious stones like labradorite, carnelian and amazonite, Swarovski crystals and vintage lucite. I also love using big chunks of turquoise and old African and other tribal beads--in other words, I'm all over the map!
