What is sea glass?
Sea Glass also called beach glass or mermaid’s tears is broken glass that has been thrown into the ocean either by people, natural disasters, shipwrecks or other ways. It tumbles in the ocean through waves and rocks and over time, such as years, the overall glass becomes smooth with a frosted coating. Found on the shores of beaches, lakes or underwater, it comes in many colors. It is nature’s way of taking our trash and recycling it into a beautiful gem-like stone.
