It never fails, I can wear one of my silks and people always come up and comment. I think it is because there is depth in the colors due to the layers of painting.
I can create personalized gifts for you by adding a special message and your color choice. If you are interested in matching something in your closet... just give me a great digital photo with a very close-up view of the textile (shoot in natural light). I can also create silk for you to take to your own tailor.
Silk painting is my favorite medium due to the fluid nature of the dyes. It's the movement that I love... much like swimming in water. A tremendous amount of patience and love go in to each piece of art as I paint. There are seven steps from start to finish but it is worth the time. It's like magic rocks. The next day, you wake up and see the amazement.
The medium also allows me to create wearable art and also art reproductions. You will also see original art in both silk and oil paintings and miscellaneous items from time to time. I paint on anything if it's not attached to the ground!
