At the Mouse Market, size is everything. If you've ever gotten that butterfly feeling in your stomach and a giddy smile on your face when you see something utterly and adorably tiny, you're in the right place.

This is a world of cakes the size of buttons and pies that fit on a fingertip, but don't let their size fool you, because it's the little things that count. Small changes, small kindnesses, small cakes--they're all part of the bigger picture of making the world a happier place.

So, what are you waiting for? Smiles are contagious--catch yours here.

About my work: Everything is hand sculpted from polymer clay by moi with any additional materials noted in individual listings. Unless otherwise noted, all of my jewelry is made with hypoallergenic surgical steel findings, so sensitive ear owners rejoice!

BE THE FIRST TO KNOW about sales, special offers, and spiffy new minis. My newsletter goes out 1-3 times per month.

=^..^= MOUSE MARKET FAQs =^..^=

GENERAL PRODUCT QUESTIONS
Q: Are all items handmade?

A: All items are handmade by me, and as such, no two items will be exactly the same. I use polymer clay for all of the food pieces, and I also incorporate fabrics, decorative papers, wood, and other items into some items, such as the preparation boards.

Q: What type of metal is used in the jewelry findings?

A: Unless otherwise noted in the individual item description, all of my earring wires and posts are hypoallergenic, lead free surgical steel. While surgical steel does contain nickel, the nickel is so tightly bound within the metal that it rarely triggers allergic reactions, unlike many other base metal findings and even sterling silver, which is sometimes alloyed with nickel. I have extreme nickel sensitivities, and surgical steel is one of the few metals that I can safely wear for extended periods of time, which is why I have chosen to use it exclusively in my pieces. My necklace and bracelet chains are nickel free, silver plated brass, unless otherwise noted.

Q: How big are the food pieces?

A: All miniature food items are made to 1:12 scale (one inch in miniature equals one foot in "real life") or 1:6 scale, but food jewelry pieces vary in size. Be sure to check the individual measurements listed in each item's descriptions before purchasing.

Q: Are your items made in a smoke free home?

A: Yes. I also do not have any dander-carrying pets, unless you count my gerbil, but she isn't allowed anywhere near my work room :)

CUSTOM ORDERS
Q: Do you take custom requests?

A: Definitely! I am more than happy to create unique pieces, so please message me to get started with your custom request. Please note that items marked Limited Edition are unavailable for custom order, as well as pieces that may require specialty supplies, if said supplies are no longer available.

ABOUT THE MOUSE MARKET
Q: Do you have a mailing list?

A: Yes. If you are interested in joining the monthly mailing list, please visit my website (http://themousemarket.com/newsletter). You have the option of receiving the newsletter with shop news, sales alerts, and other insider info (1-3 times per month) or an email every Friday with my latest blog posts.

Q: How do I join the Mouse Marketeers Buyer's Rewards?

A: You are automatically enrolled in the Buyer's Rewards program when you make a purchase. For every $20 you spend in my shop, you will receive a cheese wedge. Earn ten cheese wedges to receive a Mouse Market gift certificate worth $20! Purchases are cumulative, meaning if you spend $5 on your first order and $15 on your second order, you will receive one cheese wedge. Your balance doesn't "reset" with every order, which allows you to earn points faster!

Please note: Currently, points are not available for purchases made at craft shows. Eligible purchases must be made through my Etsy shop or my online shop at themousemarket.com.

Q: Where else can I see your work?

A: Feel free to visit my Flickr galleries (http://www.flickr.com/photos/themousemarket/), or stop by my website for regular updates on my blog, show information, tutorials, and more! (http://themousemarket.com/).

SHIPPING AND RETURNS/REFUNDS INFORMATION
Q: How are the items packaged?

A: All items are carefully packaged in a blue box with a cute Mouse Market sticker on the lid, ready for gift giving. For shipment, pieces are mailed in a padded bubble envelope for safe delivery.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes! I am happy to ship my pieces worldwide, and I use USPS International First Class, which generally takes 1-2 weeks. International shipping cost is $4.00 USD for one item; $0.45 USD for each additional item in the same order. If you need your items faster, message me and I will be happy to arrange another shipping method.

Q: What happens if my item never arrives?

A: For domestic orders, you will receive a tracking number in an email from PayPal when I ship your order. If the tracking information reflects that the item has been delivered successfully, I cannot offer a refund or replacement. For all other shipping issues, or to purchase insurance prior to order placement for a nominal fee, please contact me.

International orders shipped via First Class do not include tracking or shipping, and I cannot offer refunds or replacements for lost items. If you are purchasing a considerable amount of pieces, I would strongly suggest shipping via International Express ($30 for a flat rate envelope) or Priority Mail International (varies by country), both of which allow for tracking and insurance to most countries. Please contact me for more information.

Q: My item arrived broken. What do I do?

A: If an item arrives damaged, please contact me within 15 days of the date of shipment for orders shipped with the US, or within 30 days for orders shipped internationally, and I will promptly create a replacement piece. I reserve the right to request return shipment of the damaged item.

Q: My order never arrived. What are my options?

A: All domestic orders are sent with a tracking number. If the item is listed as successfully delivered by the USPS but you have not received the item, I am more than happy to file a lost item claim with the USPS on your behalf, but I cannot issue a refund. In these situations, it is often helpful to contact your local post office to determine a proper course of action. Please contact me for more information.

If your item has not been marked as successfully delivered and considerable time has passed, please contact me. Often in these situations, the USPS will be able to offer further information as to the delay with reasonable estimates for the item’s arrival, and I am happy to contact them on your behalf. If you would like to insure your purchase for a nominal fee (typically $1-3), please contact me prior to or immediately after submitting your order. I will send you an invoice for the insurance charges. If you choose the default uninsured shipping option, you assume the risks associated in the event that the item is lost in transit.

International orders sent via First Class are not eligible for tracking or insurance; thus, I cannot offer refunds for lost items. By purchasing items using USPS First Class International as the shipping method, you assume the risks associated with uninsured shipping. If you are purchasing a considerable amount of pieces, I strongly suggest shipping via Express International or Priority Mail International. For a flat rate fee of $30, you can ship anywhere from 5-15 items (depending on individual item sizes) via Express International; Priority Mail charges vary by country and are typically cheaper than Express. Both of these shipping methods have the option of both tracking and insurance, so please contact me if you wish to use these in lieu of the default First Class shipping.

COUPON CODES AND GIFT CERTIFICATES
Q: How do I use a coupon code?

A: Etsy's new coupon feature makes redeeming coupons a snap. On the Etsy checkout page, you will see a box in which you can enter your coupon code. Upon doing so, the amount will automatically be deducted from your order total.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, coupons can be used for all items in my Etsy shop including sale pieces, but shipping and handling charges are not eligible for discount.

Q: How do I use a gift certificate?

Select the item or items you wish to purchase from my Etsy shop, and send me the following information by using the "contact mousemarket" link found on any of my shop pages:

1) The code printed on the front of your gift certificate.
2) Your mailing address and the email address associated with your PayPal account (or your primary email address if you do not have a PayPal account).
3) Links to the items in my shop you wish to purchase AND the names of the items, just so I can be sure that I'm sending you the correct pieces!

If the cost of the items and shipping charges is less than the amount of your gift certificate, I will send you a message noting the remaining balance. If the items and shipping charges are more than the gift certificate amount, you will be emailed a PayPal invoice for the remaining balance. One payment has cleared, your items will be shipped.

Payment

I accept PayPal and major credit cards.

Payment is due promptly upon order placement; however, if you need a bit more time, please let me know and I'll be happy to work something out. I will attempt to contact you if payment is not received , and if no arrangements have been made, the order will be canceled and the item relisted. Please be aware that I am now leaving negative feedback for non-payment if I have not received an email requesting payment extension or a transaction cancellation, because I lose valuable time attempting to contact the buyer and canceling the transaction, as well as money while the item remains unlisted.

For custom orders, I generally accept payment after the item has been finished, but for sizable or very unique orders, I may require full payment prior to beginning work. Please contact me for additional information.

Shipping

Shipping charges are listed under individual item descriptions. With the exception of large or irregularly shaped items, all pieces ship for $2.50 within the United States; $0.25 for additional items in the same order. International shipping is $4.00 and $0.25 for additional items in the same order unless otherwise noted in the item description.

NOTE: I ship to the address on file with PayPal, not Etsy, unless otherwise requested. Any orders that are shipped to a different address than the one you have on file with PayPal are NOT covered by PayPal's Protection Service, so I highly recommend that you make any changes to your shipping address within PayPal.

For orders within the United States, I will ship your item via USPS First Class, which generally takes 3-5 days to reach most domestic locations.

International orders will be shipped via USPS First Class International, which generally takes 1-2 weeks. PLEASE NOTE: USPS does not offer tracking for international orders unless the package is sent via Express or Priority. I highly recommend using one of these options for orders over $100. The cost for Express mail is $30, and depending on the size of individual pieces, I can send up to six boxes for that price with each box fitting 1-3 items. Priority Mail costs vary by country and are generally less expensive than Express. Please convo me before ordering if you wish to have your order shipped via one of these options.

If you require speedier shipping, please contact me, and I will be happy to work with you to find a shipping method that works with your time frame.

Refunds and Exchanges

If an item arrives damaged, please contact me within 15 days of the date of shipment for orders shipped with the US, or within 30 days for orders shipped internationally, and I will promptly create a replacement piece. I reserve the right to request return shipment of the damaged item.

Generally, digital books/tutorials are NOT eligible for a refund once they have shipped unless, in the case of a physical CD, the item arrives cracked or broken.

HOWEVER, I want you to be 100% thrilled with your purchase from me, and if you're not feeling glee when you open your package, I want you to contact me right away, and I will make it right.
