Communication was first rate from seller and packaging too. Shipping was super fast. I only wish all sellers on Etsy were this first rate!! Frequently asked questions
Can I get reduced shipping fees?
One way would be to bundle purchases. If you were buying more than one paper item or more than one lot of buttons, shipping fees could probably be reduced. Buying something fairly light, (like an elf), with something more substantial, (like an enamel bowl), the two might combine with reduced fees.
Please write for firm estimates! I will do what I can!
Can I get a reduced price?
I am willing to hear your reasonable offer!
Is this going to be packed carefully?
I have years of experience shipping many types of items. My failure rate is a fraction of 1% -- and I have learned from my mistakes. I use industry standards to pack postcards, records, and fragile items.
What about refunds?
There are no refunds.
That being said, a refund will be considered ONLY if item is substantially different from the description and photos. Photos are a part of the description. View them for signs of wear or damage.
Most of my items are vintage so naturally are often NOT going to be in perfectly new condition. I take pains to describe faults. Therefore items cannot be returned for those faults/wear. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Shipping charges are not refunded. No partial refunds. Full refund of item price once it is returned. Item must be returned in the condition it was sent to you.
Damaged/lost in shipping...you must fully cooperate with filing a claim. you will be refunded once the claim is finalized.
Why don't you offer free shipping?
Well, first of all, I don't offer free shipping because there is no such thing as free shipping. The post office doesn't offer it. Secondly, sellers are pressured to offer free shipping, being told just to raise our item prices to absorb shipping fees. So, if I determine that a vase is worth $15.00 and it's going to cost $10.00 to ship it, why not just charge $25.00 for the item, with "free shipping"? Well, it just strikes me as disingenuous, bordering on dishonesty. I like to do business in a straightforward manner. And by taking a more individual approach, I frequently save buyers money, something that cannot be done with a one-size-fits-all fee that is added into the price.
What is rare?
Obviously, something "rare" is something you don't run across every day. Some sellers feel for an item to deserve being called "rare", it should not come up in the marketplace more than once in ten years. This is why I shy away from using this term.
What is this about shipping fees going up?
Shipping fees have been going up and up and up. I have no control over this, but I will do the best I can to keep it down.
