Nana Sadie Rose is on medical leave thru July 1, 2013. There will be a few ready-made items made available during this time, but custom work, while it could be ordered, won't be crafted until she returns to work with Doctor's permissions (shoulder surgery - sewing would make healing hard!). Please feel free to contact me during this time, and I'll be happy to help you plan a hand-crafted item. or if you see something in the shop (updates will be sporadic, as I feel I can) by all means, please buy, and I'll ship out right away! Thank you to all my loyal customers, and I look forward to working with you again soon!
At Nana Sadie Rose, my handcrafted handbags, totes, needle (and hook) cases, and other accessories are filled with practical fun! While a lot of my designs are especially made with crafters in mind, you don't have to be a knitter or crocheter to appreciate the versatility of my designs. Keep everything organized in the series of pockets, sleeves, and "pocklets" I add to every design. The fabrics are fun, the designs are practical! And everything can easily be handwashed to make your special treasure "new" again! Crafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia by a real Nana of 3 boys and a brand new granddaughter! My rose-bedecked studio is smoke-free and kitty-friendly.
My newest creation, The Teabird Spindle Bag, is available by custom order only. Please convo me here, or visit my website http://www.nanasadierose.com to email for information!
*ANNOUNCEMENT*
There has been much concern over the safety of children's products in this country, especially those imported from other countries with less stringent product safety laws than the United States. As such, the Consumer Product Safety
Improvement Act (CPSIA) was signed into law in August 2008 and goes into effect on February 10, 2009. While there is some lee-way in the law until 2010, I've decided that Nana Sadie Rose will not wait until next year to meet it's requirements.
Nana Sadie Rose regrets that none of her products are suitable for children under the age of 12 as a result of the requirements of the CPSIA as it now stands. I simply cannot afford the cost of testing to ensure that every component is safe, and I won't pass that sort of increase in cost - in the thousands of dollars - along to my customers.
I'm truly sorry if this upsets my customers. I encourage you to write to your congressional representatives to implore them to rewrite this badly conceived law. We do want to protect our children. We don't want to wipe out American home-based craft businesses, especially in this time of economic crisis.
Thank you!
