My grandmother's nickname "Nanny" is how it all began. Nanny was a school teacher, and she had a spare bedroom where she collected all kinds of crafts, book, and records she would use for her classroom. It had every kind of supply imaginable! While setting up my Etsy shop, it came to me that whatever I put into my shop was coming out of my very full and cluttered spare room - I then named it "Nanny's Room"
As I began to focus more and more on fine arts, rather than crafts, my Nanny's Room grew to become Jeanne's Fine Art Studio. Now my focus is not only in painting, but discovering the world of fiber art.
Whether painting or creating in fiber - I turn on my favorite music - start to create, and find myself completely zoned out from the world around me.
My inspirations comes often by a ray of light settling on the tip of a flower - cloudscapes dancing through the sky before a storm - a young child oblivious to the world around - and on and on...
The artists journey is a lifetime of learning, and that is what drives me to continue to create. I hope you will find some inspiration in my work - that would be the greatest compliment of all~
