nature's my friend and we make art together
When bird watching, nature walks and hugs with furry animals collided with paper tearing, texture doodling, graphite smudges and ink mixing, I knew I'd found my happy place.
After completing a BFA in Print Media from the Alberta College of Art & Design, I moved to the mountains of British Columbia to pursue my dream of becoming a practicing visual artist;
nature's my friend was born.
Happily nestled in a sun-filled art studio amongst the beautiful Kootenay Mountains next to the Columbia River, the inspiration behind all of my creative endeavors is literally at my fingertips each and every day.
Illustrating wildlife and nature is my passion, which goes hand in hand with my affinity for traditional printmaking. My artwork aims to uphold the beauty of nature while also preserving the history of hand printed multiples in a world that is now filled with too many digital photocopies.
Each fine art print in my shop has been loving created with custom mixed inks, heavy rag paper and layered drawn stencils or plates. Creating these fine art prints from start to finish requires no computer assistance... just my two little paws and plenty of patience.
When you don't have time to get out and walk in the woods, my artwork allows nature to be a part of your everyday life; from beautifully executed fine art pieces to housewares and accessories, these hand-made items can help you bring more of the outdoors, indoors.
Thank you so much for visiting my shop and fostering my career as a visual artist. I couldn't chase this dream without the support of all of you wonderful animal, art and nature lovers!
"Keep your love of nature, for that is the true way to understand art better." -Vincent Van Gogh
