*****************I took a break from spinning and knit up a scarf for the Red Scarf Project. Check out Knitspot blog and Knitspot group on Ravelry for details...I am donating a skein of yarn as a prize, whip up a scarf for a former foster kid who is toughing it out at collage and you have a chance to win a skein of handspun or one of many other wonderful yarny prizes.

Lace is still the word of the day around here. On the spinning wheel right now is lace weight BamHuey Yarn in the Sun Beams colorway. You can check out this colorway in my sold listings if you just can't wait to see just how sunny yellow gold this color is. If you would like first dibs on this yarn convo me. I'm expecting yardage in the 900-1000 yard range and a wpi some where in the 22 wpi neighborhood. Cost estimated in the $120-$150 range. If you reserve this yarn with me and save me the time of working up a nice listing (I will send you pics) I will Pay for shipping (Priority mail) in the USA. If you are outside the USA I will pay for $6 of the shipping costs. You save me some time....I save you some money! I expect this yarn to be finished and dry sometime around December 3rd........Update....still on the wheel, Christmas Knitting is taking away from spinning time, expect this yarn to hit the shop on Monday Dec 7th.

Welcome to New Hue Handspuns!
October 11th is my "Learned to Spin" aniversery. This past October I celibrated 14 years of spinning, and it is still as fun and as exciting as it was durring my first spinning class! I have spun for several other yarn producers and on occasion still do, but have decided to go back to selling my own yarn line. Thus was born the BUNNY PATCH YARN line, 80% Merino 20% Angora,and VERY SOFT!

I start by hand dyeing or painting the fiber and spin it into a fingering weight yarn of about 18 wpi. Each skein is 2 oz and aproximatly 200 yards. I dye fiber in batches that produce 8 matching skeins of yarn. If you would like larger amounts, let me know I am happy to do custom orders. If you need yarn in larger skeins.....let me know I can do up to 1,200 yard skeins.
I also offer Bunny Patch Yarn in Lace weight and Chunky Bunny. The latest Bunny Patch Yarn is the Fuzzy Bunny. That is one ply of the 80/20 plyed with 100% Angora Bunny! This yarn is strong, AND VERY VERRY VERRRRRRRY SOFT. The 100% Angora adds a nice white halo to your project. Neck warmers and Hats are my favorite projects for this yarn. All the Bunny Patch yarns are excellent for next to the skin wear.

Anne Hanson, Knitspot paterns, has created a wonderful Wiggle Mitt pattern using the Bunny patch yarn and also a sock patern by the name of Tidelines. Go over and check out her blog and Knitspot shop to what else she manages to whip out with this soft warm yarn.

I sell the Bunny Patch fiber in 2 oz hanks for $15.00 each. My dyed fiber inventory changes just about daily. You can order off of one of the fiber listings or convo me to see what I have on hand. If I don't have the color listed it may be that I haven't taken pictures yet,or if I am out of stock I would be happy to put you on the list for the next dye lot.

I now have a second line of yarn....BamHuey Handspun Yarn. It is 60% Merino 40% Bamboo (like 90% of the bamboo fiber out there it is rayon processed). I start by hand painting the fiber and spin it into a 2 ply aprox 15 wpi sports weight yarn. Each skein is aprox 3oz and 200 yards. I also offer the BamHuey in Lace weight and DK weight. You can find these listed under the OOAK BamHuey section. BamHuey fiber is available in 3 oz hanks. Each one is hand painted and sells for $15 each. If you don't see the fiber of a colorway you like, convo me, it could just be waiting in line to have it's picture taken for listing.

******BRAVE SOUL SPECIAL...... This is a special offer I have on fiber of a new colorway. As a spinner I have been surprised a few times by how a fiber colors changed so much once it was spun up. Having a spun sample next to the fiber helps me decide if I want make a purchase. I think most spinners agree on that point.
