Welcome to Nora's Room, home of sweet and sophisticated children's clothing. I am proud to be a Boutique Sewer for Oliver + S.
Nora's Room features professional handcrafting and top-quality material from contemporary designers. All of my garments are sewn to order, in infants' or children's sizes. I welcome custom orders and will be happy to work with you to select the right style, size, and fabric to make a one-of-a-kind garment for your child.
By ordering apparel from a licensed Oliver + S Boutique Sewer, you are supporting the work of a needlework artisan, while purchasing high-quality children’s wear that you know is being made with care. Garment prices reflect the actual cost of materials as well as a modest hourly wage for garment construction. I offer low flat-rate shipping, and additional items always ship free for customers in the US. Your order will be beautifully wrapped in tissue paper with sewn-in labels and hang tags suitable for gift-giving.
Payment
All payments are handled by PayPal, a secure online financial service. You can pay with a credit card without signing up for a PayPal account. You can also sign up for a PayPal account while purchasing an item. Under Etsy's Terms of Use, we ask you to pay immediately at check-out using your PayPal account or PayPal's credit card function. If this is not possible, please contact me ASAP via email or Convo to see if you can make other arrangements or if you need to cancel the order.
Shipping
All orders will ship via USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. I offer free shipping of additional items for customers in the US. For my international customers, additional items ship free as long as your order fits within a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope or small box. Larger international orders will be charged actual shipping costs.
Buyer is responsible for insurance--if you would like your item insured, or if you have other special shipping requests, please let me know at the time of purchase so I can calculate the difference in shipping costs. **Seller is not responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping.**
All sewn-to-order garments will ship from my studio within 7 to 10 days. If you need your order sooner, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
Refunds and Exchanges
All garments are guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the invoice date. Defective garments may be returned within 30 days for a refund of purchase price. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. No returns accepted for normal wear and tear or for garments ordered in the wrong size. (Please see sizing information below).
Additional Policies and FAQs
All items come from a smoke-free home. We are a cat-friendly household, and although I don't let the cat roll around in my fabric there may be a stray cat-hair or two.
About Sizing: Sizing charts are provided for each garment. Please read sizing information carefully and let me know if you have any questions about size at the time of purchase. Please note that I cannot accept returns for garments ordered in the wrong size.
Care Instructions: Materials are pre-washed to reduce shrinkage, and all seam allowances are serged for a professional and durable finish. Unless otherwise noted, machine-wash warm, tumble dry low, with a warm steam iron if needed.
