Hi Everyone! I love beautiful fabrics -- learned to dye some years ago and have recently discovered nuno felting, which is the process of combining lightweight natural fiber fabrics (usually silks), and wool. The result is very textural and beautiful! I have silk chiffon -- often called gauze -- and silk habotai which can be nuno felted with patience! My silks are lightweight enough to felt with, but can also be used with a fusible backing to quilt. I have added hand dyed velvets which can be felted or quilted. You will also find kits with silks and prefelts. These were designed to be fast fun projects (for those of us who like to finish a project in a day!) and the finished pieces might fit on an already finished purse or journal, or might just be used as a piece of art. I have added new colors in the lightest weight gauze (3.0mm), and am about to add "color kits" which will be color themed packages of silk you can use to make a nuno purse or pillow or enhance your other wool pieces.
