O Bella Organics uses fabrics made of hemp, organic cotton or a combination of both - the most eco-friendly fibers.
Why Hemp? Hemp is one of the oldest cultivated plants and has been used for thousands of years. Hemp is the most durable of natural fibers. It requires no pesticides to grow, less water than most crops, and grows extremely fast. It renews the soil with each season and helps prevent topsoil erosion with it's long root systems. It's a versatile crop with many uses. Clothing made with hemp fabric is lightweight, strong and mold resistant. Hemp fabric wears in instead of wearing out. Hemp clothes hold their shape well and don't become stretched out. Hemp fabric breathes well during the summer months but can also keep you warm in the winter months.
Organic cotton is used in addition to hemp in many of our garments. Organic cotton is grown without pesticides and is not genetically modified, and oh so very soft!
