Have you ever experienced the feeling that finding and old, dusty cardboard box can give? When you open it and discover inside a lot of forgotten, multicoloured, sparkling buttons that strike your eyes and amaze your mind like a million butterflies coming out of it and start to fly all around the room? Or the feeling you get when you find some brooch you thought it had been lost, at the bottom of a drawer and find out it can give that special twist to that plain dress? Or when in a flea market, hidden under a shabby, wooden table, you come across a sack full of printed cloths, gleaming beads and vintage braid that someone decided to forsake when she settled that it wasn’t time to dream anymore?
Well, we of Oggetti Smarriti think that it’s always time to dream, that everything that get lost can be found and that nothing ever become useless. That’s why we love to give new life to old materials and new outlook to costumary items.
Every kind of stuff can become one of our scarves, pins, hats, headbands, gloves or any other accessory that inspire us any time. For this reason, we can’t assure you to find in our shop several identical items, there may be similar but always one-of-a-kind items. Maybe, if you’re lucky, two-of-a-kind or very limited editions. The only thing we can assure you is that everything we present to you is 100% handmade. And heartmade.
