Over 30 years of working in the primitive and early style arts and I keep coming back to my first love...cross stitching.I so love the early look of wonderful primitive pinkeeps,pillows, ditty bags and samplers that can fit into country, colonial or primitive home. Any fabric medium works for me, from my private collection of linens to prairie cloth. Sweet pinkeeps filled with sawdust,added touches of special rusty pins, old beads and charms, lovely pillows that have that old worn feel being stuffed with clean rags, and have a
gentle scent of old spices, so sweet on your fireplace chair or special little cubby. And my favorite, the ditty bags. All different styles, to hang on your peg racks, ladder back chairs and yes, even a bed post. Fill them up with your favorite things, dried flowers, old
spools, spices, your favorited sewing supplies, all come fully lined so nothing will
slip through. I love buying beautiful
homespuns and colonial fabrics that I gently age for a more long ago look. I also like to visit the many farmers markets, auctions and antique malls here in the Lancaster area,looking for just that right something to add to a project.I use mostly all overdyed threads in my work, love the muted colors it gives to each piece and no skein is the same. Much attention is payed to
detail and workmanship, each piece is handmade by only me, no mass producing of product.Designers of patterns will always be given credit, but many items are designed by me with no pattern available. Please be patient as I get things organized in my little shop, I'm so looking forward to meeting many new as well as old friends here. Check back often, new things will be added weekly.
