olliescrate's Shop Announcement

Custom crochet hats, scarves and hand-made bags, all from Ft. Greene, Brooklyn, NY. Summer tops for children and adults coming August.

Ollie's Crate is owned and designed by Nickey Henry (jewelry lovingly designed and donated by my mother-in-law). Originally born in South America and raised in Massachusetts; attended college at Pratt Institute in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NY.

After over a decade of looking for that elusive "career", she up and quit her cushy job to design and walk dogs.

"I love to make things. I had been making things for myself and giving them to friends and family. My youngest sibling had a baby and I started making hats for my nephew. She had made all these new friends that were new mothers and they started ordering hats for their kids and themselves."

"I like to see things being used. People throw so much away."

Please look out for Ollie's Crate at Brooklyn's 1st Flea Market, coming this April 2008 in Ft. Greene, and through out the year.
