If you love fine handmade millinery, shabby chic, cottage-style, all things charming and romantic, a nod to the UK, ethnic, period and historically inspired fashion, unique one-of-a-kind wearable art, vintage collectibles, recycled jewelry, and even Italian Renaissance masks, then I think you will enjoy what you see here!
My latest inspiration comes from the Andes Mountains, and the beautiful folk art hats worn by the Peruvian and Bolivian people. These hats can be custom ordered. CONVO me if you have a special color scheme request, or would like matching mittens, by or before December 1st, to ensure holiday delivery.
THE SCOTLAND COLLECTION, and the MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS COLLECTION have enjoyed a very enthusiastic response. They have also been featured in numerous Treasuries, and are the result of a trip to that stunningly beautiful country. They have been in creative gestation since 1995. The most recent evolution is the MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS COLLECTION, with snippets of historical facts from her life. The fabrications are a tribute to the riches she enjoyed, however brief. This collection has sprouted a new pillbox line, with the first one available now!!
I'm so excited and looking forward in the New Year, to presenting several new lines of
THISTLE COTTAGE STUDIO clothing designs in my ETSY shop! Just a hint of what's coming......one of a kind jackets, jackets, and more jackets, of every description, and new French Toille Victorian Crusher hats!!. Eveningwear too!! 2010 will be a whole new inspiration and direction!! Do stay tuned.....
