Welcome to Outlaws Sinners and Believers, a place to buy your home, office decorations from rustic railroad spike crosses, sculptures, horseshoes crosses, wreaths or welcome signs and combinations of spikes and horseshoes.
Each item is made from old used Rail Road spikes that are bent, rusted, caked in dirt and have to be hand cleaned in such as to preserve the uniqueness of each characteristic that help create a rustic nostalgic look. Then welded to be bonded together to last and then clear coated to bring out the distinct features of each one, so that each item, although maybe similar will be different based on the characteristics of each unique spike.
The horseshoes are used and worn from a local ranch, when I get them they are bent, full of nails, coated with manure, dirt and such. Each having to be cleaned, nails pulled out, some nails are kept and used for other art work that are created. After they are cleaned then they are grouped together in sizes, shapes, color and metal. Every hoof of a horse is different at different stages of there life, so are the shoes they wear. so no two shoes will be identical, therefore no two pieces of artwork will be identical due to the flaws of each shoe or spike used.
This way each piece of art is different and unique, so when you purchase one of these special items you know you can be sure that you have a ONE OF A KIND!!
For an example to clean 10 spikes for a cross takes about 2 hours for it might take 15 spikes to find 10 that are close to the size, angle or distinction that I'm looking for in that creation. then they have to be welded together so that the welds are hidden to a certain degree depending of desired finish, then hand brushed with a metal brush to get rid of heat marks, bubbling affect from weld, slag. Once that is done it has to go through a test of strength, depending on desired affect, usually thrown against the concrete floor of the garage to check the welds for cracks, loose joints. once satisfied they are clothed cleaned and then wired brushed with a soft wire bristle and then clear coated to preserve each one.
I hope that this helps in your decision of quality, because I stand by my quality and want everyone satisfied, because OSB is my brand and I wouldn't want my brand to be second best!!
