Welcome to Our Hope Chest!

Growing up “girly” on the west bank of the river in New Orleans, LA meant memories of pageantry, recitals, Chantilly lace, dainty and even gaudy outfits, jewelry, and makeup. I treasured pictures of friends and family, along with secret notes that I couldn’t part with. I tucked these precious memories away in a hand crafted Hope Chest that my father refinished for me. In 2005 a furious and costly storm named Katrina took my Hope Chest as one of her victims along with the tangible aspects of my memories of girlhood.

I’ve opened this website with the same nostalgia as I would have to open the Hope Chest once again. I hope to fill Our Hope Chest with items that create lasting memories. Particularly those memories of “dress up”, make believe, and romantic embellishments.

If you have item ideas that you may have kept sacred in a safe place like a hope chest, please feel free to share.

To me the most essential item that captures the heart of girlhood dance, dress up, and mystical make believe is the “Tutu”. That is why the featured product of this site is the handmade custom Tutu.
Just provide the desired size (waist) length (see below) and select you color (also below).

I handmake all of my tutu's in a smoke free and pet free environment.
