Welcome to Out of Our Gourds!

My newest passion is fusing glass and slumping it. Love it!
I will be adding more every day. I will have a variety of garden birdbaths and feeders, soap dishes and bowls and anything else that tickles my fancy!

We enjoy creating GOURD ART in both Southwestern and contemporary styles. We select our gourds from several different gourd types and use many different shapes and sizes. In our creations we use techniques such as cutting, carving, etching, pyrography (wood burning), dyeing, painting,and weaving. We use materials such as pine needles, Sheaths, feathers, leather, horse hair, copper and colorful stones in our designs. Out Of Our Gourds creations include bowls and vases, rattles, rain sticks, chimes, bird houses and bird feeders. Specialty items include Spirit Dolls and Masks. Holiday favorites include Jack o'lanterns, Ghosts, Santa Claus ornaments and Snowmen.
