When Christmas time comes around each year, we look for magic. We hope for beautiful snow, perfect gifts and an extra measure of extraordinary kindness between people. The magic doesn’t always happen but every year we still hope it will.

They include specific details about where he would be born, who his parents would be, where he would grow up, the political tensions at the time of his birth, the miracles he would perform and the way he would die. Most importantly, they describe the importance of his identity as the only one who could take away our guilt and give us abundant life. The astounding wonder of this fulfillment of so many hundreds of prophecies, the rugged simplicity of Jesus' impoverished birth, and the delight God had in making his most glorious move in such an unexpected way… if you really stop and think about it, it might be the most magical thing that has ever happened!

Papuan Lass ornaments are designed to celebrate Jesus’ miraculous life and they are handmade by … a lass from Papua New Guinea. Wendy grew up as the daughter of missionaries in PNG and now works as an artist and mother in the US. Each ornament in her shop is designed to bring the focus of Christmas away from materialism and getting things, back to simplicity, generosity, kindness and (either directly or indirectly) honoring Jesus.
