The folk art boxes are a result of my love for Mexico. I visit the Patzcuaro area in central Mexico once a year and delight in collecting the miniatures for which Mexican artisans are famous. Back home, I assemble my finds in recycled cigar boxes and embellish the surfaces with paper, "jewels," and whatever else I may find in my treasure trove.
