Pencils & Daisies is on vacation through the end of June, due to being heavily involved in the Chicago Design Museum (CHIDM).
We will be opening our doors as a pop-up museum in the city of Chicago. In addition to showcasing work through the exhibits, we will be opening a museum store, Ignorance & Ambition, to highlight the wonderful work of local Chicago designers and artists. The Chicago Design Museum hosts limited engagement exhibitions, focused on design excellence. The formality of a traditional museum is still found within the high standards of the curated work, but the pop-up format promotes intimate experiences that are less likely to be found in a brick-and-mortar museum. The museum will coincide with Chicago Design Week and will be installing five exhibitions. We opened a pop-up museum in Phoenix last Fall that aligned with Pivot, the AIGA National Design Conference. Similar in concept and execution to the Chicago Design Museum, we entertained an audience of about 700 during the month it was open.
