Our story: My partner, John, and I are actively engaged in this research and working on our own. He has developed a very good mechanism which projects at least a 20% reduction (quite possibly much more) of CO2 emitted from coal-fired power plants.
The mechanism has been reviewed and was well received by industry experts. The mechanism is simple to implement, requires little or no changes to the power plant, can use recycled materials and is much less expensive than bio-mass and sequestration. John's idea also produces a useable by-product which is a huge savings over sequestration, which requires its by product to be buried. Our mechanism is also projected to be much more effective than these other alternatives..
Our most immediate need is financial support to help finish the patent process. We filed the application ourselves without the aid of an attorney in order to save money so our goal is to raise $2000.00 to complete the process. Our application has been reviewed and the examiner (who has a phd and experience in power plants) likes the idea, however, we need to make some changes to the application to get it through and successfully gain a patent. As it is just the two of us, we need support to keep this project going. We are currently pursuing grants, however, as a start up business, we are finding that it is difficult to get grant funding without a track record. Once we acquire a patent, our chances of receiving grants to take the project to the next phase will be much better.
Please trust that our standards are high and we would not be asking for support if the idea did not project such a great benefit to the cleaning up of our planet nor would we ask for support without first having our work reviewed and approved.
