I don't even know how to put into words how I appreciate the personalized pillow cover I ordered. The communication was so meaningful as I communicated with Vanessa about the cover I desired. She truly felt my heartbeat on the desire to give my Mother a gift of a picture I had taken. The picture was a statement of how we conquered a very hard time in life due to health issues, a picture of what family truly meant. I would give her more than thousands of stars if this sight would let me.......and its because she produced exactly what my heart wanted to portray! I have always been very interested in photography, ever since I was a child. I remember being fascinated by great photography and great photographers and wanting to emulate them. So I would carry my point and shoot everywhere to try and capture the beauty around me the same way they did. Then life got in the way.

Fast forward many years, I met my now husband who inspired me to explore more deeply into photography by showing me that even with a point and shoot I could take stunning photos if I would just pay attention and assess the scene before me with my photographer's eye. We travel a lot together (or traveled a lot before our two kids came along :) and I amassed a good collection of photos.

One day in 2008, I decided to open an Etsy store to share my collection with the world. photopia.etsy.com was born.
