As you can see, my art is about as local as you can get. I'm a stay at home caregiver for my elderly mother-in-law, have a 9 yr. old son, and work part time so when something catches my eye or tugs my heart I shoot it quick, before it gets away. Landscape, portrait, still life, abstract - all beckon in the moment.
I love the digital format. It's fast, cheap, versatile - and with the advent of the iphone - incredibly lightweight! Once I have the shot I play with it in iphoto. I may turn the pic into a birthday card, submit it for a contest, or just sit and stare at it because it's so pretty.
