Welcome to our studio! We've been painting and creating for family and friends for years, and now we're excited to share our artwork with you! We truly hope our pieces bring enjoyment and warmth to your environment.
A little bit about us: We are a mother and daughter team living in Southern California where the weather is great most of the time and the cost of living is high all of the time. We have such beauty and diversity and plenty of opportunity for creative thinking. We can be at the beach, the mountains, and the desert; all in the same day. Nice thought, but more often than not, we actually get most of our creative thinking time while sitting in traffic for hours wishing we could work from home.
Hence, Piink Design Studios.
Daughter Mindy is the truly artistic one. She originally showed her creative and artistic side very early on in elementary school. She taught art to children during her high school years while working at a private studio and became the manager of a ceramics studio while earning her degree in interior design. She became known for her watercolors, acrylics, ceramics, and other mediums. She has a whimsical, fun, spirited design and impeccable taste in interior design. Mindy got married to a wonderful man who, though more practical by nature, wholeheartedly supports his wife of one year, in her pursuit of her artistic dreams. Gotta love him!
Mom Ruth, is the more business side of the team. Oh, sometimes she can be very creative and has always had a love for antiques, fabric and sewing, but right now she is much more valuable in a support role having been in the business world for way too many years. Who knows though, the next great Piink Design Studio creation just might come from her. Keep a look out! If so, she might actually be able to retire from her day job.
