The Montessori Baby Toys and Hanging Toys, both listed below, are from the Montessori Assistants to Infancy (0-3) course. These beautiful and simple toys are made to complement the growing infant’s natural physical development. Generous friends who had taken the course shared these patterns with me when I was pregnant with my daughter. As a mom, and a handworks enthusiast, I was inspired to make and offer them to other families. I’m proud that my Montessori Baby Toys are also currently available through The Joyful Child, a Montessori catalog.

I include an information card with each bag, and individual toy, that suggests when it is most likely your baby will show interest in them.

The toys are not painted, stained or sealed. Each toy ages beautifully with use.

The cotton rattles are safe in the washer and dryer.

Take a look at my circular rattles and flower rattles. They are wonderful to hold and move. The gentle sound of the jingle bells inside is perfect for the new, sensitive ears of the infant.
