Play Therapy Dolls - handmade cloth dolls, one of a kind soft sculptures, created by EC Hanson [that's me!].I've been making these dolls for Play Therapists and anyone who wants a friend to hug or some quiet company.......a Play Therapy tool, in "at-home" playrooms. PlayPals are great dolls for classrooms, nursing homes, birthday presents, or a cuddly best friend for 'big brother or big sister' when the new baby is coming. They make a great companions in the car, on an air plane, or as a great snugly pillow. As a night-time buddy, PlayPals can't be beat.....especially if you're afraid of the dark!

I make each large cloth doll one at a time and try to "allow" their character to emerge. I have been an artist for a long time; a sculptor, painter, accredited art teacher,life coach,and an advocate for victims of domestic violence.I have a passion for working with women and children to foster personal power, creativity, and the practice of making healthy decisions.

The first dolls I created were for my own children to have as travel companions in the car as we drove 'cross country' from Pennsylvania to Colorado to begin our new life on the prairie. A few years later I began making dolls for my play therapist sister, Cindy Caparosa Sniscak, M.Ps.Sc., LPC, the President/Director of the Beech Street Program.
