Sounds odd, but it's true. My grandfather, Poppee, and I always had a very unique relationship. He owned a small business in South East Alabama and worked extremely hard for everything he had. Very good with his hands, he not only could fix anything around but could draw very well too. When I was young he shared a lost dream to become a political cartoonist.

I often think of him when I set out to achieve something that is difficult or requires a lot of hard work. His name came to mind when I first began dreaming of my stationery design business and it seemed only right to honor him in this way.

Poppy Pedals is growing and I can't be more excited. Something that started out as a pass-time has slowly gained momentum to become a small supplement for our family. I can't wait to see what comes next!
