September 24, 2010 Update: I have survived the earthquake here in Christchurch, New Zealand but my studio has not. I will be generating new images soon and will post them as soon as I am able to get a new studio up and running. Get in touch if you have any special requests and thanks for your patience.
A word about etching: The process saw its origins in the early Renaissance and has been popular with artists for centuries. The drawing is scratched into a copper plate with a needle and a variety of other techniques. Ink is then rubbed into these marks and the image is transferred to the paper by running the copper plate through a very heavy etching press.
