project8256

Please visit splendidandswell.blogspot.com.

The owner of project8256 is on vacation.

I created this shop in February of 2007 to support my sister and brother-in-law as they worked towards adopting their first child from Ethiopia. Now, in April of 2010, I am happy and overwhelmingly thankful to say that they are a beautiful family of three. Thanks to all who made purchases and offered words of encouragement over the years. This was an amazing experience that we will never forget.

I will still operate my other shop, ameliamae.etsy.com, so feel free to visit me there. I have also moved my blog to splendidandswell.blogspot.com. Drop in and say hello!

Many thanks and much love,
Amy

project8256's Shop Announcement

First of all, thank you so very much for visiting our shop! As you may or may not know, all of the profits from this shop go directly towards an adoption fund for my sister and brother-in-law as they work towards adopting from Ethiopia and to AHOPE, an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that cares for HIV+ children. This is a really tremendous facility that, beyond providing for basic physical and psychological needs, also incorporates music, art and dance lessons into their curriculum.

Upon receipt of payment, all purchases will ship within 5 business days. Orders ship First Class, via USPS. Please view my Policies section for additional information.

I have another shop full of original pieces at ameliamae.etsy.com. Because of the philanthropic nature of Project 8256, I decided to keep these two shops separate. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks so much,
Amy

P.S. My sister and brother-in-law have opened their own Etsy shop: thegatherednest.etsy.com. It is full of lovely vintage items and handmade wreaths. They are donating all of the profits to their adoption fund.
