When I was a little girl I had chubby cheeks and twinkling eyes and curly red hair. My dad used to call me his "punkin". I always thought he was saying "pumpkin" because my hair is the same color as a real pumpkin. I remember looking forward to the day when I would have "pumpkins" of my very own.

I now have 4 children and none of them have red hair, but they are all "pumpkins" to me. We had our kids very quickly...4 in 4.5 years. After the last one was born, I remember thinking to myself, "wow I have quite a little pumpkin patch!" I have loved making things for my kids from day 1 and I have made things for friends and family as well. When I decided to start this store, "Pumpkin Patch Designs" was the only name that fit.
