I only use DOUBLE prong alligator clips, as it provides a better hold than the single prong (trust me I KNOW). I add a no slip grip insert to most of the clips (unless they are velvet covered)to ensure they stay in place (IT TRULY WORKS). All ribbon ends (even the areas you don't see)are heat sealed to prevent fraying. If your purchase is intended as a gift, let me know. I can also ship directly to a gift recipient.
