Each quilt we make is truly an original with the main focus on “custom” made quilts. Our quilts are made with 100% cotton fabric and 200% LOVE. Every stitch is made with care and attention to detail in the traditional style of quilting three layers together; my quilts are well made at affordable prices. There is much excitement in knowing that every quilt I make will be loved and cherished and passed on to future generations. Quilts are symbolic of love, warmth and comfort. Order a quilt for someone you love.

Each square of clothing will be backed with fusible interfacing (stabilizer) to ensure its durability and long life. The backing fabric, framing strips and borders can be a fabric, of your choice. Maybe you have a favorite color you would like to use for the backing, etc. If you wish, I can fully design the quilt, colors and all.

Turn Around Time: As of March 31, 2012, the turn around time for new orders will be 6 months from the date of receipt of your clothing items.

CUSTOM ORDERS:

Quiltsbykandy requires a 50% deposit at the time of your order. The remaining 50% is due after the quilt is completed. As of April 10, 2012, if you elect to pay in full up front, you will receive a 5% discount. If you choose to pay a deposit only, please contact me to request a reserved listing to be created in my shop for your deposit.

Once you purchase the deposit listing, I will email an order form to you which will include my address and phone number. Please fill out the order form (favorite colors, types of batting, type of backing fabric, embroidery requests, etc.) and put it in the box of clothing to be shipped to me. Please contact me any time throughout the project with any questions or additional recommendations you may have. I want this quilt to be made exactly as you envision it.

[Note: There is an additional charge for minky, damask and any specialty fabric].

ANNOUNCEMENT:

After your quilt is completed we will return any unused clothing items. However, many times there is enough clothing left over to make another quilt. After your quilt or quilts are made, if there is enough clothing to make an additional quilt, I will send you a convo asking if you wish to have another quilt made. Maybe you would like an additional lap size quilt for grandparents or to keep as a snuggle blanket on the couch. There’s always enough to make a matching pillow sham or two. Instead of just returning your unused items, I will ask if you want another quilt or pillow sham made.
