why.

because mainstream fashion creates huge excess and contributes to one of the largest global consumer based industries, resulting in the explotation of workers, detrimental environmetal impactions, and tons of waste...not to mention poor quality and underpaid artists. so instead of buying from stores buy from artists and support alternative economies.
