ReadingChairDesigns's Shop Announcement

Welcome to Reading Chair Designs! This store serves two purposes: to sell a variety of my handmade items and to gather support for my grassroots organization, Chemo Caps for Vets.

When it comes to jewelry, I often prefer to use natural stones and materials, though I will occasionally use acrylic or glass. I love the rich colours found in nature and enjoy combining them with the glitter of silver and gold. However, I also enjoy taking old pieces and breathing new life into them, recylcing and recreating them into updated pieces a modern woman would love to wear.

I also make a number of pagan prayer beads and Catholic rosaries. While many people may find that strange, I like to point out the common thread between them -- prayer. It's a powerful thing, regardless of your beliefs, and I like to encourage people to use it wisely. Whether you're a member of one of the many pagan paths seeking a focal piece for your spells and meditations or a Christian looking for a special rosary, chaplet or Irish penal rosary, I'd be honoured to provide you with what you need.

My third category is, of course, Chemo Caps for Vets. Each of my caps is handmade. The cap that you order will be, with few exceptions, identical to the ones I deliver to the Miami VA and hand out to the patients receiving chemo treatments. The only exception will be Special Edition caps that I will sell for a greater price for the purpose of raising more money.
