Each photograph sold in this shop is one of only seven prints made of an original Polaroid image. The prints have been processed at a professional lab where they were placed on metallic Kodak Endura paper to create an archival image that will last a lifetime. They have been matted and framed using archival materials, leading to an archival package that maintains a classic, beautiful appearance. Each print is signed and numbered and includes a note from the artist.

Artist’s Statement:

Few things can compare to the wonderful sense of anticipation that comes with waiting to see just what you have captured as Polaroid film slowly develops before your eyes. As a vehicle for a narrative, Polaroids are raw, mysterious, and unpredictable. No other form of photography so effectively pulls the artist into the process of illumination and discovery and makes him or her so directly a part of the story.

My current collection of photographs displays a cross-section of the amazing sites I have been lucky enough to visit and experience in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Wyoming. The locations include abandoned hospitals, schools, factories, forests, and other such places that have not been seen by others for years. I can only hope that my photos capture even a fraction of the beauty that I have encountered there.

The colors and effects in my photographs have all been achieved by analog means. Photoshop has only been used to re-size the image and ensure that the colors of each print match the original Polaroid as closely as possible.
