Handmade Stoneware and Porcelain Leaves

SabrinaLeaf's Shop Announcement

I love nature, gardening, being outdoors, and making pottery.

I am fortunate to be able to live in the forest of Wahkiacus Washington, on the east side of the Cascade Mountains, just north of the Columbia River Gorge. Here I absorb the colors and energy of my surroundings and then use the inspiration to make my pottery.

From the garden and forest I gather leaves which I press into the clay to form an imprint. I then hand shape, build, and refine the clay leaf into the object I wish to make. The colors come from original glazes that have been refined over the past 10 years. All my pottery is High Fired in my Kiln to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit making it safe and durable.

My hope is to bring Nature back into an increasingly machine-made world.
