There is something absolutely magical about buying old things. I have always loved buying treasures from antique stores, flea markets or estate sales and imagining how they lived in their previous lives. Trinkets, clothes and accessories have always been my favorites. There's no telling what a necklace or a piece of silver has seen over the years. It may sound dramatic, but buying these things and treasuring them is my way of touching immortality. I like to imagine that someday my treasures will be loved by some fashionable young urbanite...
I started buying these things for myself, but quickly discovered that there was a demand for vintage products. While it breaks my heart a little each time I say goodbye to one of my hand selected treasures, I know that they are going to be loved and that ultimately brings me more joy. After all, I would much rather have someone buy a great vintage piece from me, than to buy a cheap reproduction at the mall. The greenest product is one that already exists. Save money, fashion and the planet at the same time!
